Forest officials have allegedly made contact with two high-profile managers concerning their managerial vacancy, following the dismissal of former boss Postecoglou.
Evangelos Marinakis, the club's majority shareholder, opted to remove the Australian just 40 days into his appointment, in the middle of the squad's heavy home loss to the London side.
Marinakis watched from the stands at the City Ground but allegedly departed the directors' box soon after the hour mark, with the side down by two goals. A club executive subsequently told Postecoglou of his termination.
Quest for Replacement Starts
Nottingham Forest had been evaluating potential successors for their former boss after their embarrassing European setback at the City Ground to Midtjylland ahead of the fixture pause, during which supporters became hostile toward the Australian.
His exit after eight games makes his time in charge the briefest in EPL history, a single day shorter than the previous record holder managed at Charlton.
